- In September 2022, while establishing our chemical manufacturing company, we contacted several suppliers for raw materials to fulfill anticipated client orders.
- To test raw materials and process timing, we ordered a 50 kg sample from a supplier in Delhi, India, making a 100% advance payment. However, the transportation was delayed by a week.
- Upon receiving the material, standard testing revealed it was unsuitable for our needs, and we requested a return, but the supplier refused and held our payment for over three months.
- Eventually, we managed to exchange the material for a higher(better)-quality alternative by paying extra.
- During this period, we conducted a survey within the industry and discovered that trust issues for new businesses, transportation delays, and material quality problems were common in India.
